Sister M. Marita Campbell, IHM

Sister M. Marita Campbell, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Thursday, January 14, 1937.
She was born on November 14, 1866 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and given the name Bridget. She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Alice Feray Campbell. She entered the IHM Congregation on January 6, 1896, received the religious habit on July 2, 1896, and made profession of her vows on July 23, 1898.
Sister Marita enjoyed her years of teaching children in our IHM mission schools, including at St. Basil Academy in Dushore, PA, St. Joseph School in Renovo, PA, and in schools located on Long Island, NY.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, David and Neil, and a sister, Alice Mulhearn.
She is survived by three brothers, Alexander of St. Louis, MO, Michael and John of Sandy Valley, PA, nieces and nephews.
Interment is at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
