Healthcare has played an important role in our history of service to the people of God.
While we no longer sponsor our former Marion Community (formerly St. Joseph’s) hospital in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, our sponsored institutions continue the important work of meeting the medical and mental health needs of God’s most vulnerable children. One glowing example of this service is Saint Joseph’s Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Meeting the needs of medically fragile, physically and intellectually impaired children and adults, St. Joe’s is a beacon of hope and care for the people of Lackawanna, Wayne and Pike Counties and beyond.
