Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC)

“All our ministries are works for Justice and Peace. They receive and give life in relation to the depth of our spiritual union with Jesus and our participation in his mission.”

IHM Mission Statement

Contemplation, Compassion, Committment

Three circles with the words "Commitment, Compassion, Contemplation"
  • As IHM Sisters, all we are and do begins with our relationship with God. (Contemplation)
  • This relationship extends to embrace all creation, both people and planet. (Compassion)
  • This embrace calls us to “engage in actions that reflect God’s unconditional love for creation and the transformation of the world.” (Commitment)

Interculturality is the understanding of, appreciation of, respect and reverence for “culture.” Affective interaction, communication, and community building of people from different cultural backgrounds appropriately employs authentic language in a way that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the cultures.
