Sister M. Carmelina May, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Sunday, June 15, 1930, at All Saints Convent in Masontown, PA.
She was born on January 19, 1907 in Scranton, PA, and given the name Veronica. She was the daughter of Francis and Elizabeth Havard May. She entered the IHM Congregation on August 15, 1923, received the religious habit on December 27, 1923, and made profession of her vows on August 15, 1925.
For the past five years, Sister Carmelina served as a teacher at All Saints School in Masontown, PA.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie and Margaret May.
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by four brothers, John (Jack), Charles, Frank, Paul Gerald, and Eugene; and a sister, Marion May, all of Scranton, PA.
The funeral will be Wednesday, June 18, at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Requiem at St. Catherine’s Church in Moscow, PA. Interment to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow.
