Sisters of IHM

The Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scranton, Pennsylvania, are a community of Catholic women religious dedicated to God and service to God's people. Founded in 1845 and inspired by the spirit and purpose of Saint Alphonsus, we participate in the redeeming mission of Jesus by celebrating and proclaiming the Good News of God's unconditional love for all people. While currently serving in United States and Latin America, we live our mission by engaging in and sponsoring a variety of ministries that meet contemporary needs and foster the full development of human potential.

IHM Connection Fall 2025

Vol. 33, No. 3

As we move into fall, we are reminded of the beauty and richness of this season—bursts of color, crisp air, and the promise of new beginnings. For us, the season also brings gratitude. The “color” in our lives is provided by you —your kindness, your generosity, and your commitment to the Sisters of IHM.

IHM Connection Summer 2025

Vol. 33, No. 2

At the heart of our mission is the “IHM Spirit”—a commitment to spread God’s love and transform the world. We are inspired by the “ripples of good” created by our retired Sisters and those celebrating their Jubilee year, and we acknowledge the wonderful contributions of this year’s 2025 Spirit of IHM Award recipients.
