Below is an archival reflection about our Sister Mary Stephen Sheridan:

Sister Mary Stephen will be remembered as a good religious and devoted teacher. Her pupils remember her as a kind, happy, interested teacher; she enriched many souls by her selfless devotion. She was one of the pioneers who opened Saint Mary of the Mount School in Pittsburgh, where she spent twenty-one years in the elementary department. Her cultured manner, her refined ways, her prayerful life – these qualities endeared her to her pupils and Sisters. At the Marian Convent where she passed her final five years, she left the memory of a truly consecrated nun whose life was spent with God in thanksgiving for His having chosen her to be His spouse. May she find peace and joy He has reserved for His chosen ones.
