Sister M. Regina O’Neill, IHM

Sister M. Regina O’Neill, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Thursday, April 15, 1886, at St. Rose’s Novitiate in Carbondale, PA.
She was born on February 22, 1866 in Pleasant Mount, PA, and given the name Mary Catherine. She was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Cronan O’Neill. She entered the IHM Congregation on September 29, 1882, received the religious habit on March 27, 1883, and made profession of her vows on April 6, 1885.
Sister Regina served as a music teacher at St. Rose Academy in Carbondale, PA.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Teresa (later known as Sister M. Regina O’Neill, IHM) and Matilda McCormick, and a brother, Henry.
The funeral will be Saturday, April 17, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church in Carbondale, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Carbondale, PA.
