Sister M. Salome Flynn, IHM

Sister M. Salome Flynn, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Tuesday, October 17, 1922.
She was born on July 28, 1862 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and given the name Mary. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Clarke Flynn. She entered the IHM Congregation on October 31, 1891, received the religious habit on May 24, 1892, and made profession of her vows on May 24, 1894.
Sister Salome served a teacher at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Scranton, PA.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, James and Matthew, and a sister, Ann.
She is survived by two sisters, Agnes Cecelia Carroll and Nellie J. Walsh, two brothers, Edward P. and Attorney Frank Aloysius, nieces and nephews, all of Scranton, PA.
Interment is at the Marywood College Cemetery, on the grounds of Marywood College in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
