Sister M. Rosalind Nailen, IHM

Sister M. Rosalind Nailen, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Tuesday, October 9, 1923, at St. Rose’s Convent in Carbondale, PA.
She was born on January 3, 1888 in Canton, PA, and given the name Mary Theresa. She was the daughter of John Nailen and the late Mary Wynne Nailen. She entered the IHM Congregation on August 1, 1917, received the religious habit on January 3, 1918, and made profession of her vows on December 27, 1919.
Sister Rosalind served as a teacher at St. Rose Academy in Carbondale, PA.
In addition to her father, John of Canton, PA, she is also survived by five brothers, Daniel, Leo, Edward, John and Mark, and two sisters, Catherine (Katie) and Josephine (Josie) Nailen.
The funeral will be Thursday, October 11, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church in Carbondale, PA. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Carbondale.
