Sister M. Angelus Mills, IHM

Sister M. Angelus Mills, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Monday, September 30, 1946, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Carbondale, PA.
She was born on August 27, 1892 in Olyphant, PA, and given the name Mary. She was the daughter of the late James and Bridget Kenehan Mills. She entered the IHM Congregation on July 2, 1913, received the religious habit on December 30, 1913, and made profession of her vows on December 30, 1915.
Sister Angelus enjoyed her years of teaching children in our IHM mission schools, including at St. Lawrence School in Portland, OR; and St. Thomas Aquinas School in Archbald, PA.
She is survived by a sister, Sister M. Louis Mills, IHM, stationed at Sacred Hearts High School in New York City, NY; and several cousins.
The funeral will be Thursday, October 3, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Church in Archbald, followed by interment at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow, PA. Friends may call at St. Thomas Convent in Archbald on Wednesday afternoon or evening.
