Sister M. Andrew Quinn, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Thursday, September 24, 1903, at Mount St. Mary’s Convent in Scranton, PA.
She was born on December 28, 1873 in Yatesville, PA, and given the name Catherine. She is the daughter of Ann Gillespie Quinn and the late Patrick Quinn. She entered the IHM Congregation on December 7, 1894, received the religious habit on July 1, 1895, and made profession of her vows on July 24, 1897.
In addition to her mother, Catherine Quinn of Yatesville, PA, she is also survived by three brothers, Peter of Philadelphia, PA, John of Wilkes-Barre, PA, and Edward J. of Yatesvilla, PA; and two sisters, Marie Monica (the future Sister M. Benigus, IHM) of Yatesville, PA, and Sister M. Monica, IHM, of White Haven, PA.
The funeral will be Saturday, September 26, at 9:00 a.m. at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, followed by interment at Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton, PA.
