Sister M. Albert O’Connell, IHM

Sister M. Albert O’Connell, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Monday, October 24, 1932, in Oneida, NY.
She was born on August 22, 1885 in Choconut, PA, and given the name Veronica. She was the daughter of Philip and Mary Fitzpatrick O’Connell. She entered the IHM Congregation on December 8, 1905, received the religious habit on July 26, 1906, and made profession of her vows on July 16, 1908.
Sister Albert served as a music teacher at the following schools: St. Patrick School in Scranton, PA; St. Joseph School in Danville, PA; and St. Patrick School in Oneida, NY.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward, and a sister, Ellen Butler.
She is survived by three brothers, John of Philadelphia, PA, Patrick of N. Randal, OH, and Frank of Scranton, PA; four sisters Agnes McManus of Scranton, PA, Mrs. John Dougher of Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Frank Kelly and Mrs. Edward Hanahue, both of Olyphant, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Thursday, October 27, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Church in Moscow, PA. Interment will follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow.
