IHM-SSC-SSCM
The Sisters of IHM share a rich history with the Sisters of Saint Casimir and the Sisters of Saints Cyril and Methodius. During the first decade of the Sisters of IHM at the Motherhouse at Marywood in Scranton, the Congregation embraced the education and formation of other congregations namely, the Sisters of St. Casimir (founded in 1907 at Marywood) and the Sisters of Saints Cyril and Methodius (founded 1909 at Marywood). Mother Cyril Conway, IHM, led this initiation at the Motherhouse and sent IHM sisters to accompany the new SSC and SSCM sisters in the early years of their journey.
We share an Alphonsian spiritual heritage and many customs that date back to our foundation beginnings.
Today we continue to strengthen our sisterhood by joining in collaborative projects and retreat experiences.
