October 2025 Vocation Ministry Update

What an awesome experience to be at Villa Joseph Marie High School with Sisters Ellen Maroney, IHM, Elizabeth Anne Yocius, SSC, and Immaculata Wendt, SSC! The beautiful legacy and spirit of the Sisters of Saint Casimir at Villa for 93 years, is so present and vibrant. Every fiber of this school community reflects and radiates the love and joy of the Sisters of St. Casimir.
It was so much fun to be with a group of sophomores, casually sitting in the foyer and answering their questions about my vocation. At lunch with seniors, I heard about the Senior Sunrise Service and beautiful way they began their year together. While they look forward to experiencing another tradition, the sunset at the end of the school year, they are happy to stay in the moment and enjoy the many blessings and activities planned for this special year.
The charisms, mission and friendship which began 117 years ago between the Sisters of St. Casimir and the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Congregations have truly been gift and a blessing. This wonderful legacy of the Sisters’ friendship continues to grow daily and truly lives on today at Villa Joseph Marie High School through the board, faculty, staff, alumni, families and students. These photos capture Mother Maria’s motto saying, “Always more, always better, always with love.”
