November 2025
The St. Petersburg, Florida, Associates came together for their monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 18. They shared a meal together, including celebrating Sister Flo’s birthday. Afterwards, Amy and Mary Lynn joined the group to make their re-commitment using the prayer service that will be used on December 8.

Faithful to Their Circle of Grace
Drawing on a prose poem she framed years before, Gale Jaeger, as facilitator of an Associate Circle of Grace, offered a timeless message for dialogue on September 18, 2025. “Desiderata,” written by Max Ehrmann and copyrighted in 1927, became popular when it was printed in poster form around 1960. For years Gale kept it in her office at Marywood and now in her home. At the gathering, Gale played the rendition that was put to music. Its message rang true, meaningful for our times. “…beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here… Strive to be happy.” As always, sharing left the group grateful for the intimacy of a Circle of Grace where all can share deeply and listen contemplatively.

August 2025
In late August, the Seton Associates gathered to participate in a Japanese “Kintsugi” activity where we broke bowls, carefully glued them back together, and then painted the cracks with gold colored paint to emphasize the beauty in our shared brokenness. Sister Ruth Harkins joined us for the activity, lunch, laughs, and shared joy.
April 2025
IHM Sisters and Associates gathered at the Theresa Maxis Conference Center on Saturday, April 26, for a daylong conference on IHM Sister-Associate Relationship. The presenter, Anita Davidson, OPA, helped participants to explore the IHM Charism and Mission and Our IHM Community’s “Mother Drum.” IHM Associate, Ann Williams, remarked, “The associates’ workshop was beyond what I had hoped. I truly believe it was a very open and honest discussion with all involved.

Renewal of Vows and Commitments in Pampa Ansa
This year the Sisters and Associates in Sicuani, Peru, renewed their vows and commitments in the parish of San Felipe in Pampa Ansa. This is the parish where Sister Norma ministers each Sunday to accompany the people and priest. The sisters were joined there by several IHM Associates and aspiring associates.
