Sister M. Pancratius Walsh, IHM

Sister M. Pancratius Walsh, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Tuesday, July 6, 1971 at the Marian Convent in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
She was born on August 22, 1898 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and given the name Margaret. She was the daughter of the late Dominic and Alice Mellon Walsh. She entered the IHM Congregation on September 15, 1914, received the religious habit on July 6, 1915, and made profession of her vows on August 15, 1917.
Sister Pancratius served as a teacher in the following schools: St. Joseph Elementary School in Williamsport, PA; St. Leo Elementary School in Ashle, PA; St. Mary of the Mount Elementary School in Pittsburgh, PA; St. Mary Elementary School in Patton, PA; St. John the Evangelist Elementary School in Scranton, PA; and St. Ann Elementary School in Scranton, PA.
Sister also served as a catechetical instructor at St. Ann’s Catechetical Center in Devon, CT, from 1944 to 1947.
Interment will follow the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
