  1. Sister M. Joachim Dorsey was born on Sugar Ridge in Overton Township, Bradford County, PA.

Her parents are buried in SS. Philip and James Cemetery which is located on Sugar Ridge and not in Overton, Overton Township, Bradford County, PA. Sister M. Laurena Cullen is also buried in the cemetery, and the parents of Sister M. Joachim Dorsey are her maternal great uncle and aunt.

In the mid 19th century Irish immigrants came to Sugar Ridge which was a wilderness and cleared the wilderness to develop farms. The name of Sugar Ridge is attributable to the prevalence of maple sugar trees in the area.
