Archival Remembrance:
Sister M. deNeri was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Nallen Gibbons, formerly of Pittston, PA, now of Venango, PA. She was a graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary, where she made a brilliant record. Shortly after her graduation, she entered as a novice at Mount St. Mary’s Novitiate, and was professed July 16, 1907. Most of her religious life was spent in Wyoming, where she was in charge of the high school and proved herself a capable and devoted teacher. The many pupils who profited by her instructions and guidance bear testimony to her self-sacrificing zeal. She was greatly beloved by her sisters in religion, her unfailing kindness and quiet unassuming manner endearing her to all who came in contact with her quiet and gentle influence.
