Archival Remembrance:
Feeling herself called to the religious life, Miss Campbell entered the novitiate of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at St. Rose’s, Carbondale, May 1, 1879. On December 31, the same year she received the habit of religion from the late Rt. Rev. William O’Hara, D.D., and two years later made her profession November 15, 1811. Sister Cyprian during her long religious life has labored faithfully and zealously in the cause of education. Many convents in the dioceses of Scranton and Harrisburg have been the scene of her labors. Sister Cyprian was a model religous ever faithful to the rules of her order – zealous in the work of the schools, kind and charitable to her sisters. She was greatly beloved and will be sincerely mourned.
