Sister Diane Saraceni, IHM

Sister Diane Saraceni, IHM, (formerly known as Sister Ann Miriam) of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, died on Tuesday, November 9, 1993 at the Marian Convent in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Daughter of Anthony and Anna Mattiace Saraceni, she was born on May 11, 1939 in New Hyde Park, New York. She entered the Congregation on September 8, 1960, received the religious habit on June 26, 1961, and made her profession of vows on June 26, 1963.
Sister Diane served as a music teacher at the following schools: Seton Catholic High School in Pittston, PA; Marywood Seminary in Scranton, PA; and Sacred Heart High School in Carbondale, PA.
At Marywood College in Scranton, PA, Sister Diane also served on the faculty of the music department, and later, as a staff member in the public relations department.
An accomplished pianist and flautist, she had been a member of the member of the Music Educators National Association and the National Flute Association. She served on the board of trustees of the Hemodialysis Patients Association in Scranton, PA.
She is survived by the members of the IHM Congregation.
Interment will follow the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, PA.
