Resident Monitoring System

The Pascucci Family Our Lady of Peace Residence (OLP) is a 130,000 square foot, patient-centered care facility. Sisters generally frequent four floors, three wings, and a main street (shopping, beauty salon, visiting, etc.).

The original manufacturer of OLP’s resident monitoring system will no longer support the system. Our leadership team conducted intense research and consideration of options that led to the determination that a replacement resident monitoring system is needed at OLP.

Because our congregation believes in an environment that encourages active, healthy sisters to be safe at home, we’ve chosen Stanley Healthcare Solutions. This ambulatory resident monitoring system gives residents the ability to be mobile, to call for assistance, and to be more independent.

Elements of the Stanley System Include:

  • Emergency Call Software: Provides devices such as pendants to allow Sisters to request help. Also includes bed and chair alarms that provide non-invasive monitoring of fall risk sisters at night. System collects device triggered events and forwards clear messages to digital phones carried by aides and nurses for quick response. System ensures that appropriate staff will respond to a sister wherever she is, and system provides for direct communications between nurses and aides when additional assistance is needed.
  • Hard-wired Wander Prevention System: Provides various automatic locking and location specific door alarms to prevent residents with cognitive dementia from wandering, allowing them to move around limited parts of the facility with dignity. Safety coverage includes outdoor courtyards.
  • Wireless Communications System: This core infrastructure handles the transmission of device alarms and nurse/aide communications.
  • Electrical Support: This essential component helps to ensure the system remains operational during power outages.
