Wildflower Seed Bombs
Visit the IHM Center on Earth Day to help plant Native Wildflowers!
Follow the signs, and then simply THROW a seed bomb in the designated area.
What are Seed Bombs?
A mix of recycled paper, native seeds, and beet juice (for color!).
What are Native Plants?
A plant is considered native if it has occurred naturally in a particular area without human introduction
Why Plant Native Wildflowers?
- Adapted to local environmental conditions they require less water, help prevent erosion, reduce runoff and flooding.
- Don't require fertilizers and require fewer pesticides than lawns.
- Sequester, or remove, carbon from the air.
- Provide shelter and food for wildlife.
- Promote biodiversity and stewardship of our Earth.
- Provide beautiful scenic views for us to enjoy!
