Sister Maria Genevieva Corr, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Friday, April 4, 1930 at St. Agnes Place in Elmhurst, PA.
She was born on September 23, 1903 in Corona, NY, and given the name Kathleen. She was the daughter of John Francis and Mary Frances O’Connell Corr. She entered the IHM Congregation on January 6, 1926, received the religious habit on August 15, 1926, and made profession of her vows on August 15, 1928.
Sister Maria Genevieva served as a teacher at St. Rose Academy in Carbondale, PA.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Dorothy, and five brothers, Richard, William, Francis, James and Lawrence, all of Queens, NY.
The funeral will be Monday, April 7 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Church in Moscow, PA. Interment to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow. Friends may call on Sunday after 2:00 p.m. at St. Agnes Place.
