Sister Mary Luke O'Brien

Sister Mary Luke O'Brien, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Thursday, September 14, 1899.

She was born on September 17, 1868 in Avoca, Pennsylvania, and given the name Mary.  She was the daughter of Luke and Mary Saunders O'Brien. She entered the IHM Congegation on March 30, 1894, received the religious habit on January 24, 1895, and made profession of her vows on February 2, 1897.

In addition to her parents, Luke and Mary of Avoca, Pennsylvania, she is also survived by two brothers, Luke of Dunmore, PA, and P. H. of Avoca, PA, a sister, Mrs. Harold A. Trieble of Stroudsburg, PA, nieces and nephews.

Interment is at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Carbondale, Pennsylvania.
