Sister M. Everildus Miller, IHM

Sister M. Everildus Miller, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Saturday, December 2, 1967 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Carbondale, Pennsylvania.

She was born on March 17, 1891 in Ashville, Pennsylvania, and was given the name Mary Emma. She was the daughter of the late Augustine and Agnes J. Lantzy Miller.  She entered the IHM Congregation on February 2, 1920, received the religious habit on August 2, 1920, and made profession of her vows on August 15, 1922.

Sister Everildus served as a domestic at the following: St. Alphonsus Convent in New York, NY; St. Ann's Convent in Scranton, PA; Marywood College in Scranton, PA; St. Leo's Convent in Ashley, PA; St. Cecilia's Academy in Scranton, PA; St. Joseph's Hospital Convent in Carbondale, PA; St. Mary of the Mount's Convent  in Pittsburgh, PA; St. Cecilia's Convent  in Exeter, PA; IHM Academy in Coeur d' Alene, ID; St. John's Convent in Pittston, PA; St. Mary of Mt. Carmel's Convent in Dunmore, PA; St. Joseph's Children and Maternity Hospital in Scranton, PA; St. Agnes Place in Elmhurst, PA; and at the Marian Convent in Scranton, PA; as well as at convents in Altoona, PA.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael.

She is survived by two brothers, Nicholas Henry and Francis Charles, four sisters, Ida Mary Miller Ansman, Hulda A. Miller Storm, Ella Agnes Miller Adams, and Mary Theresa Miller Eckenrode-Farabaugh, nieces and nephews.

Interment is at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
