Sister M. Adrian Caveney, IHM

Sister M. Adrian Caveney, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Friday, May 31, 1946.

She was born on November 1, 1864 in Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania, and given the name Catherine.  She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Bridget Nallin Caveney. She entered the IHM Congregation on March 30, 1887, received the religious habit on October 4, 1887, and made profession of her vows on April 8, 1890.

Sister Adrian enjoyed her years of teaching children in our IHM mission schools, including at St. Basil Academy in Dushore, PA.

She is preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas P., John M., James J., and Patrick F., and six sisters, Bridget F. Lavelle, Mary (Mame), Ella, Marie O'Donnell, Agnes, and Cecilia (Celia).

She is survived by a sister, Theresa Veronica Caveny of Brooklyn, NY, nieces and nephews.

Interment is at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
