Sister M. Camilla Sweeney, IHM

Sister M. Camilla Sweeney, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on May 9, 1941.

Daughter of the late Edward and Anna Marie (Hannah) Murphy Sweeney, she was born on April 7, 1868 in Choconut Valley, Pennsylvania; and given the name Winifred.   She entered the IHM Congregation on September 9, 1889, received the religious habit on April 8, 1890, and made profession of her vows on May 24, 1892.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and John; and two sisters, Anna McInerney and Mary Tierney.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Interment will follow the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
