Sister M. Cecilian Hammer, IHM

Sister M. Cecilian Hammer, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Friday, July 2, 1943.

She was born on September 1, 1904 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and given the name Anna Marie. She was the daughter of Charles Francis and Emma Brown Hammer.  She entered the IHM Congregation on August 15, 1921, received the religious habit on December 29, 1921, and made profession of her vows on December 27, 1923.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Francis Charles.

She is survived by a sister, Aline Cecilia Predmore of Pittsburgh, PA, two brothers, Regis and Richard Francis, both of Pittsburgh, PA, nieces and nephews.

Interment is at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
