Sister M. Clarita Sharkey, IHM

Sister M. Clarita Sharkey, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on February 28, 1941.

Daughter of the late John and Ann Burke Sharkey, she was born on February 18, 1885 in Port Griffith, Pennsylvania; and given the name Margaret D.  She entered the IHM Congregation on September 8, 1913, received the religious habit on December 30, 1913, and made profession of her vows on December 30, 1915.

She is survived by three brothers, Joseph, of Wilkes-Barre; Dr. John, of Philadelphia; Attorney James A., of Washington, DC; and a sister, Mrs. Raymond Jeffrey, of Port Griffith.

Interment will follow the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
