Sister M. Victorian Pineau, IHM
Sister M. Victorian Pineau, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Sunday, August 24, 1958.
She was born on August 10, 1899 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and given the name Margaret Mary. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary A. O'Dea Pineau. She entered the IHM Congregation on January 5, 1928, received the religious habit on August 15, 1928, and made profession of her vows on August 2, 1930.
Sister Victorian served as a teacher at the following schools: St. Peter Cathedral Elementary School in Scranton, PA, from 1930 to 1931; Holy Rosary Elementary School in Scranton, PA, from 1931 to 1933; St. Ann Elementary School in Scranton, PA, from 1933 to 1936; St. Peter of Alcantara Elementary School in Port Washington, NY, from 1936 to 1947; Our Lady of Good Counsel Elementary School in Inwood, NY, from 1947 to 1948; St. Mary Elementary School in Goldsboro, NC, from 1948 to 1950; St. Rosalia Elementary School in Pittsburgh, PA, from 1950 to 1954; St. Agnes Elementary School in Baltimore, MD, from 1954 to 1955; and St. Paul Elementary School in Edgewood, RI, from 1955 to 1957.
She was preceded in death by a half-brother, William Christopher Forest.
She is survived by a nephew.
Interment is at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.

Archival Remembrance:
The message which told that Sister M. Victorian Pineau was dead came as a surprise to all, for she was recovering from the illness of the previous weeks. She is kindly remembered as a fervent, gentle Sister, devoted to her work and zealous in the apostolate to which she was assigned. Prayerfulness was her special characteristic. May she continue in heaven to ask God's blessing on the work of our Congregation which she loved so well and for which she labored so prayerfully.
Before entering the community, she worked as a stenographer in a real estate office in Williamsport, PA.
