Sister M. Euphemia Frable, IHM
Sister M. Euphemia Frable, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Tuesday, March 11, 1958.
She was born on September 7, 1904 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and given the name Mary Fyetta. She was the daughter of the late William Henry and Barbara Brown Frable. She entered the IHM Congregation on March 25, 1927, received the religious habit on August 15, 1927, and made profession of her vows on August 2, 1929.
Sister Euphemia served as a teacher at the following schools: St. Rose School in Carbondale, PA, from 1929 to 1943; St. Cecilia School in Exeter, PA, from 1943 to 1948; Most Holy Rosary School in Syracuse, NY, from 1948 to 1949 and 1956 to 1957; Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary School in New York City, NY, from 1949 to 1950; and St. Paul School in Scranton, PA, from 1950 to 1956.
Interment is at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.

Archival remembrance:
God called Sister M. Euphemia just when she was doing her best work in school. She was conscious of the reality of her serious condition; but even to the day of her death, she hoped for recovery. Sister was a gentle, self-effacing nun. Her pleasant, happy disposition endeared her to her Sisters and her students alike. In death, she is sincerely mourned.
