Sister M. Henrietta Higgins, IHM

Sister M. Henrietta Higgins, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Thursday, February 6, 1941.

She was born on July 1, 1857 in Pittston, Pennsylvania, and given the name Mary Ann. She was the daughter of the late John and Ellen Rutledge Higgins.  She entered the IHM Congregation on September 29, 1888, received the religious habit on December 27, 1888, and made profession of her vows on August 2, 1891.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Delia Diskin Higgins, and three nephews.

Interment is at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery in Carbondale, Pennsylvania.
