Sister M. Paula Malia, IHM

Sister M. Paula Malia, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Friday, July 27, 1934.

She was born on August 26, 1874 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and given the name Katharine. She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Maria Cavanaugh Malia. She entered the IHM Congregation on June 21, 1898, received the religious habit on July 15, 1899, and made profession of her vows on July 27, 1901.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Irene Malia of Scranton, PA, nieces and nephews.

Interment is at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
