Sister Annamae Haran had the gift and blessing of being a vital, connected person through all her 97 years.

She had a passion for history, she read continuously, she was in touch with many of her considerably large family and she often spoke with pride of the accomplishments of her nieces and nephews.

All of these life-giving activities kept Annamae active and young at heart through her 75 years of Religious Profession.

In ministry, Sister Annamae’s main gift was being a primary and elementary school teacher, even tutoring in the EEI Program when close to her nineties. But teaching was not her only ministry. Annamae was a dietary assistant and a nursing assistant at the Marian Convent and also was a parish minister for a few years of her life.

You could say, she was willing to “take things on”, a welcome attitude considering the many ministry needs of the congregation.

We celebrate her joyful, loving service, her pride in her IHM family, her faithful prayerfulness, and her thirst for knowledge. We celebrate and thank God for Sister Annamae.
