Sister M. Regina O'Neill, IHM

Sister M. Regina O'Neill, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Friday, July 12, 1946.

She was born on March 29, 1868 in Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania, and given the name Teresa. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Cronan O'Neill. She entered the IHM Congregation on September 8, 1887, received the religious habit on March 6, 1888, and made profession of her vows on April 8, 1890.

Sister Regina enjoyed her years of teaching children in our IHM mission schools, including St. Cecilia Academy in Scranton, PA.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Sister Mary Regina, IHM, and a brother, Henry.

She is survived by a sister, Matilda McCormick of Susquehanna County, PA, nieces and nephews, including Sister M. Germaine McCormick, IHM.

Internment is at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery in Carbondale, Pennsylvania.
