Sister Mary Borgia Boylan, IHM

Sister Mary Borgia Boylan, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Friday, January 14, 1949, in Carbondale, Pennsylvania.

She was born on October 8, 1859 in Reading, Pennsylvania, and given the name Mary. She was the daughter of the late Own and Margaret Riley Boylan. She entered the IHM Congregation on October 15, 1879, received the religious habit on June 2, 1880, and made profession of her vows on April 12, 1882.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Boylan Brophy.

She is survived by a niece, Margaret Ott; two nephews Michael Brophy, and Thomas Brophy; and two grandnieces. 

Interment is at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery in Carbondale, Pennsylvania.
