Sister M. Basil Langan, IHM

Sister M. Basil Langan, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Saturday, December 29, 1923.

She was born on November 14, 1882 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and given the name Mary V.  She was the caughter of Michael G. and Mary A. Manley Langan, She entered the IHM Congregation on July 2, 1902, received the religious habit on July 2, 1903, and made profession of her vows on August 15, 1905.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Julia, and a brother, Thomas.

She is survived by a brother, John, and three sisters, Eila, Anna, and Catherine.

Interment is at the Marywood College Cemetery, on the grounds of Marywood College in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
