Sister Anna Maria Hayes, IHM

Sister Anna Maria Hayes, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Wednesday, January 7, 1948.

She was born on December 31, 1881 in Morris Run, Pennsylvania, and given the name Margaret Cecilia. She was the daughter of the late David and Margaret Tuckey Hayes. She entered the IHM Congregation on March 25, 1908, received the religious habit on April 13, 1909, and made profession of her vows on August 2, 1911.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas, and a sister, Nora Gilmartin.

She is survived by a brother, David of Scranton, PA, nieces and nephews.

Interment is at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
