Archival Remembrance:

Death came to our beloved Sister M. Carmella O'Malley as gently as she had lived her days in God's service. Always, she was a cultured religious lady, quiet and unassuming. Calmly she sat at the nurse's station at the Marian Convent, awaiting her turn to see the doctor. A slight inclination of her head was the only sign which told others that she had been called to her eternity. It is true to say that Sister Carmella lived with her rosary, for it was seldom out of her hands, as her lips moved in prayer. Through her long years of teaching, she endured a hearing impairment, a cross she generously accepted as God's will for her. Moreover, she fervently cared for several sanctuaries, preparing thousands of Holy Masses. May God grant her the eternal rest she frequently prayed for others.
