Sister M. Majella Cawley, IHM

Sister M. Majella Cawley, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, died on Monday, November 2, 1925.

She was born on December 26, 1886 in Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and given the name Isabella D. (Isabel).  She was the daughter of Michael and Catherine Dougherty Cawley.  She entered the IHM Congregation on September 8, 1904, received the religious habit on August 15, 1905, and made profession of her vows on July 16, 1907.

She is preceded in death by three brothers, Patrick, Andrew and Michael.

She is survived by a brother, John, a sister, Mary, nieces and nephews.

Interment is at the Marywood College Cemetery, on the grounds of Marywood College in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
