Archival Remembrance:

Sister Anne Maria Foley will long be remembered for her truly religious spirit, her humility, and her cheerfulness.  She loved her community and was devoted to the observances of religious life.  Her convent was her home, the Sisters, her family.  She was a devoted teacher, greatly loved by her students.  The slow learner was Sister's special concern, and she willingly gave long hours to tutoring these children.  While her efforts were not always crowned with success, yet any slight improvement would give her great joy and encourage her to keep trying.  Like the beloved St. Francis, she was an ardent lover of nature.  Birds, animals, all God's creatures were important in her estimation.  Her most enjoyable relaxation was a long walk in the surrounding countryside, where she extolled the goodness of God in His creation.

After several months of illness, God crowned her sufferings with a holy and happy death.  May she rest in peace, blessed by God and by the children she served so lovingly.
