Sister M. Angela Maria Fruscianti, IHM
Sister M. Angela Maria Fruscianti, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Tuesday, February 20, 1962 at the Marian Convent in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Sshe was born on April 17, 1900 in Exeter, Pennsylvania, and given the name Adele. She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Angela Musto Fruscianti. She entered the IHM Congregation on September 5, 1927, received the religious habit on December 27, 1927, and made profession of her vows on December 29, 1929.
Sister Angela Maria served as a teacher at the following schools: St. Alphonsus High School in New York City, NY, from 1929 to 1943; St. Dominic School in Oyster Bay, NY, from 1943 to 1950; Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary High School in New York City, NY, from 1950 to 1951; St. Peter of Alcantara School in Port Washington, NY, from 1953 to 1959; St. Ephrem High School in Brooklyn, NY, from 1959 to 1960; and Altoona High School in Altoona, from 1960 to 1961.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank.
She is survived by a brother, William of Wyoming, PA, nieces and nephews.
Interment is at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.

As she died, Sister Angela Maria Fruscianti closed her eyes gently and a beautiful smile came over her face, replacing the look of pain and suffering. This smile was plainly visible throughout the reposing days at the Marian Convent. All her life she had met her labors with a happy disposition, for she was a soul of great generosity, always willing to help others, especially the weak and the needy. Those who were privileged to live with this genial Sister fondly remember the many tasks she lightened, and the generous help she so constantly gave. As a teacher, she was selfless in her efforts to bring each pupil to the desired goal. In her convent, she was the happy, pleasant Sister from whom everyone expected help; and never were they disappointed. Her cruel illness was a real shock to her and to others, but she faced it bravely and holily. Since God asked it of her, she resolved to accept it as His will in her regard. Her resignation and deep religious spirit edified all. May God rest this valiant Sister who spread so much happiness around her, and may He grant her a rich reward for her goodness to others.
