Sister M. Antoinette Diskin, IHM

Sister M. Antoinette Diskin, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Sunday, October 1, 1939 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania.

She was born on June 1, 1869 in Birmingham, England, and given the name Rose. She was the daugther of the late Patrick and Sarah Costello Diskin. The family immigrated to the United States before 1876, and settled in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She entered the IHM Congregation on September 7, 1896, received the religious habit on February 2, 1897, and made profession of her vows on July 15, 1899.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Sister M. Anthanasius, IHM.

She is survived by a sister, Sister M. Helena, IHM, a brother, John of Scranton, PA, nieces and nephews.

Interment is at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery in Carbondale, Pennsylvania.
