Sister M. Assunta McCaffrey, IHM

Sister M. Assunta McCaffrey, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Sunday, April 8, 1951.

She was born on June 5, 1901 in Exchange, Pennsylvania, and given the name Mary R.  She was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary Shearin McCaffrey.  She entered the IHM Congregation on November 3, 1919, received the religious habit on August 2, 1920, and made profession of her vows on August 15, 1922.

She is survived by four brothers, Thomas, Hugh, Albert, and Patrick, and nieces and nephews.

Interment is at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
