Sister M. Rosalind Doyle, IHM

Sister M. Rosalind Doyle, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Wednesday, November 2, 1994 at the Marian Convent in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

She was born on December 21, 1911 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was the daughter of the late Leo M. and Elizabeth V. Doyle. She entered the IHM Congregation on February 2, 1933, made first profession of her vows on August 8, 1935, and final profession of her vows on August 2, 1938.

Sister Rosalind served as a teacher at the following schools: St. Matthew Elementary School in East Stroudsburg, PA; St. Michael's School for Boys in Hoban Heights, PA; St. Joseph Elementary School in Williamsport, PA; St. Bernard Elementary School in Hastings, PA; Holy Angels Elementary School in Hayes, PA; St. Mary Elementary School in Goldsboro, MD; St. Ann Elementary School in Devon, CT; St. Mary John School in Cresson, PA; as well as at elementary schools located in Washington, NC.

Sister also served as a parish minister and prayer minister in Pittsburgh, PA.

From 1981 until the time of her death, Sister Rosalind served as a prayer minister at the Marian Convent.

She is preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Leo, John and James, and two sisters, Loretta Doyle and Dorothy Dougherty.

She is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Craig and Clare Bayer, both of Pittsburgh, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

The funeral will be Monday with Mass of Christian Burial at the Marian Convent at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow. Friends may call at the Marian Convent on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. on.
