Sister M. Christina Heyburn, IHM

Sister M. Christina Heyburn, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Satursday, May 8, 1926 at St. Mary's Convent in Manhasset, New York.

She was born on November 26, 1898 in Ashley, Pennsylvania, and given the name Mary Christine.  She was the daughter of John and Lena Mines Heyburn. She entered the IHM Congregation on September 8, 1921, received the religious habit on December 29, 1921, and made profession of her vows on December 27, 1923.

Sister Christina served as a teacher at St. Mary Elementary School in Manhasset, NY.

She is survived by two sisters, Catherine and Elizabeth (Betty), and three brothers, George, John and Joseph, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Interment is at Calvary Cemetery in Woodside, New York.
