Archival Remembrance:

Our dear Sister M. Jeromine, after a long dedicated life as teacher, passed her last seven years at the Marian Convent.  Her she was never idle, but spent herself devotedly doing for those less able than herself countless little acts of charity.  She sustained a broken hip in a fall, and was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where, despite every care, she succumbed on September 2.  Sister Jeromine was an ideal teacher.  She presented to her pupils a high scholastic standard.  The culture and refinement of her pupils were the reflection of those virtues which asserted themselves so eminently in the personality of their teacher.  Many of those pupils are among the prominent leaders today in the religious and professional life and other areas of society.  We who knew Sister Jeromine loved her.  Her spirituality and kindness helped to smooth the rugged paths of life.  Her conversations always brought us closer to heaven.  Her influence will still be felt as she pleads for us before our Father in celestial realms above.
