Sister M. Laurena Roy, IHM

Sister M. Laurena Roy, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Thursday, December 22, 1955. 

Daughter of the late Thomas and Elmira Bilodean Roy, she was born on October 19, 1897 in Rhode Island; and given the name Rose Anna.  She entered the IHM Congregation on August 13, 1927, received the religious habit on December 29, 1927, and made profession of her vows on December 27, 1929.

Interment will follow the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.

Sister Laurena enjoyed her years of teaching children in our IHM mission schools, including at St. Lawrence School in Portland, OR.
