Sister M. Carmelita Heslin, IHM

Sister M. Carmelita Heslin, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Tuesday, August 7, 1928.

She was born on February 17, 1876 in Inkerman, Pennsylvania, and given the name Catharine "Kate".  She was the daughter of the late Peter and Ellen Moran Heslin. She entered the IHM Congregation on October 2, 1901, received the religious habit on April 1, 1902, and made profession of her vows on August 2, 1904.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, James and Bernard, and a sister, Ellen Gannon.

She is survived by three sisters, Celia, Sister Mary Gretecious, RSCJ, and Sister M. Egidius, IHM, nieces and nephews.

Interment will follow Mass of Christian burial at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, PA.
