Sister M. Linus Hannon, IHM

Sister M. Linus Hannon, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Thursday, May 29, 1941 in Pittston, Pennsylvania.

She was born on November 22, 1879 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and given the name Elizabeth Genevieve. She was the daughter of the late James J. and Ellen Cawley Hannon. She entered the IHM Congregation on January 6, 1906, received the religious habit on July 26, 1906, and made profession of her vows on July 16, 1908. 

She is preceded in death by six sisters, Ellen (Nellie), Theresa, Tracsa, Anna, Agnes, and Sister M. Nativite, IHM. 

She is survived by four brothers, Joseph T., Henry, James, and William Francis, all of Scranton, PA, a sister, Mary Reardon of Brooklyn, NY, nieces and nephews.

Interment is at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Pittston, Pennsylvania.
